About ACDO:

Asia Community Development Organization (ACDO) is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2014 and registered with the Government of Afghanistan under the supervision of Ministry of Economy (MoEc) with a mission to provide humanitarian and development assistance to the vulnerable, at-risk, and underserved people throughout the country.

ACDO responds to the needs of deprived and marginalized rural and urban communities by managing and utilizing the available scarce resources in a well-organized, efficient, effective, transparent, and dignified manner to enhance resilience, boost access to education, health services, and infrastructure, ensure food and livelihood security, and promote social protection and inclusion.

Job Descriptions:

The intern will support the department across the functions which will not only assist ACDO operation but will provide the opportunity to learn multi-functional operation.

  1. Recruitment
    • Assist in drafting and publishing job announcements.
    • Help screen CVs and arrange interview schedules.
    • Ensure completeness of recruitment documentation.
  2. Employee Records Management
    • Assist in maintaining up-to-date employee files.
    • Update HR databases and systems with accurate information.
    • Support the collection and filing of performance reviews and evaluations.
  3. Attendance and Leave Tracking
    • Monitor daily attendance and ensure timesheets are accurate.
    • Help process and document leave requests.
  4. Administrative Duties
    • Organize and maintain office supplies and administrative records.
    • Facilitate internal communication by managing correspondence and scheduling meetings.
    • Support logistical arrangements for events, training, or workshops.
  5. HR Policy and Compliance
    • Assist in the dissemination of HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
  6. Capacity Development
    • Participate in training sessions and capacity-building opportunities provided by ACDO.
    • Provide administrative support for staff training initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Fresh graduates).
  2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently.
  6. Basic understanding of HR principles and best practices is a plus.
