YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Job Descriptions:

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual action plans.
  2. Implement YHDO’s monitoring and evaluation strategy, including establishing key success indicators and milestones for the Shelter project.
  3. Collaborate with the Shelter Team Leader and main office M&E team to apply monitoring frameworks and tools for activity evaluation and program impact assessment.
  4. Ensure project indicators and standards are achieved satisfactorily.
  5. Review shelter project outputs and indicators to ensure they are realistic, suggesting changes if necessary.
  6. Establish and implement M&E systems to provide regular progress updates on outputs and objectives, and assess project impact.
  7. Conduct field visits to monitor outreach activities.
  8. Collect and analyze data for situation analysis and program planning.
  9. Prepare tables, graphs, and statistical reports, analyze outcomes, and propose corrective actions.
  10. Conduct quantitative and qualitative surveys throughout the project cycle.
  11. Share findings and evidence with the line manager.
  12. Facilitate the use of M&E data for advocacy and resource mobilization.
  13. Maintain daily records confidentially and securely.
  14. Identify and resolve issues affecting service delivery or objectives, reporting them to the supervisor.
  15. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the supervisor.
  16. Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
  2. At least two years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  3. Experience in human rights and access to justice projects, preferably involving children.
  4. Strong reporting and presentation skills.
  5. Proven ability to consolidate information from various sources and develop and implement M&E frameworks.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Pashto, Dari, and English.
  7. Ability to submit reports on or before deadlines and upon request by the supervisor.
