Job Descriptions:

The Solar System Repairing Trainer is responsible for delivering technical training on solar system installation, maintenance, and repair to all selected trainees. The trainer will work closely with the VST focal points at all training centers to ensure trainees achieve practical and theoretical knowledge related to solar energy systems.

The trainer will guide participants step-by-step in identifying, fixing, and maintaining solar systems, including components such as solar panels, batteries, inverters, charge controllers, and wiring. The trainer is also responsible for designing training sessions based on the needs of the market and supporting trainees in understanding customer demands.

Job Requirements:

Show step-by-step how to install, fix, and maintain solar systems.

- Teach topics including solar panels, batteries, charge controllers, inverters, and wiring.

- Prepare training materials, and practical toolkits.

- Deliver interactive and practical sessions for trainees.

- Provide basic safety guidelines and best practices in solar system maintenance.

- Assess trainees’ performance and provide regular feedback.

- Use simple tools and methods so that everyone can understand, even without technical background.

- Guide trainees on how to identify problems in solar systems and how to fix them safely.

- Make the training practical — give each participant a chance to work with real tools and equipment. 

ساختن آموزش به شکل عملی — هر شاگرد باید فرصت کار با ابزار واقعی را داشته باشد

- Create a friendly and respectful learning environment, especially when working with youth. 

ایجاد یک محیط آموزشی دوستانه و با احترام، مخصوصاً هنگام کار با جوانان

- Test the knowledge of participants before and after the training to see their improvement. 

آزمایش دانش شاگردان قبل و بعد از آموزش برای ارزیابی میزان پیشرفت‌شان

- Help participants understand safety rules while working with electricity and solar energy. 

کمک به شاگردان تا اصول ایمنی هنگام کار با برق و انرژی سولر را به ‌خوبی درک کنند

- Support the team in preparing any reports, photos, or updates during the training.

- Encourage participants to use their new skills for jobs or starting their own small business.

- Work closely with the project team and share any challenges or needs during the training.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 14 years Diploma in Electric  and Solar System.
  • 2 to 3 years’ relevant work experience in the field of Solar System Repairing.
  • Fluency in Dari / Pashto, both written and spoken.
  • Good communication skills and able to pass the message/questions in local languages to the respondents.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to plan work.
  • Supervisory, team worker, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Regional and cultural knowledge of areas of SFL field operations in Afghanistan
  • Willingness to work long hours when required
  • within Afghanistan and adjust to the SFL environment as frequently as required
  • Honest, proactive, well-mannered, and must share values of SFL.
  • Willing to stay in field locations
  • Ready to work, live, and travel in an intricate and strenuous environment
