Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:
- Engage with the Afghanistan Revenue Department to negotiate and seek guidance on tax and customs regulations, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
- Assist the organization in managing tax audits, ensuring adherence to timelines and effectively addressing any queries from tax authorities to minimize risks.
- Provide clear guidance on applicable tax rules and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant and informed.
- Work collaboratively to gather necessary financial information and documentation required for annual tax filings and other obligations.
- Assist in drafting opinion letters, responses to inquiries from the Revenue Authority, requests for rulings, and other technical memoranda to clarify tax positions.
- Stay current with developments in tax and customs laws, regulations, and practices to provide timely advice.
- Process tax and customs exemption documents as needed to ensure the organization full compliance with applicable laws.
- Review the current taxation system of CARE and suggest improvements in terms of donor rules and regulations and the tax law of Afghanistan.

Job Requirements:

Education: 
Required, BBA or Bachelor of Law graduate.
Has knowledge of Afghan Tax Law and Tax Procedures
Knowledge of accounting and MS Office

Experience,
Has at least three years experience of working with private tax consultancies OR has previously worked with Ministry of Finance.
Languages: Dari, Pashto, and English
