About Ansari Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (ARAA)

Ansari Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (ARAA) is a national, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, established in 1992 for serving the people of Afghanistan through its operation in sectors of Health, Protection, agriculture/irrigation, water and sanitation, education, reintegration, social services, and construction, as well it has been established to provide humanitarian supports, based on the principles of human rights, Islamic and cultural values of our country, and environmental and socio-economic sustainability to the vulnerable people of Afghanistan.

As part of its 2026 program operational plan, ARAA is seeking a qualified applicant for this position.

Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Protection Case Management Project Officer:

-        Developed work plans for field teams.

-        Provided training to team members to strengthen their capacity and ensure effective implementation of assigned tasks.

-        Conducted PCM network meetings.

-        Reviewed cases identified by caseworkers and provided feedback when necessary.

-        Prepared distribution plans for beneficiaries requiring cash assistance and shared them with the project officer.

-        Monitored cash distribution processes to ensure transparency and accountability.

-        Conducted Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) of cases that had previously received assistance.

-        Held regular meetings with teams to improve project implementation and performance.

-        Actively participated in Protection Cluster meetings in the Western Region.

-        Monitored data collection processes in project target areas.

-        Reviewed and processed collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

-        Prepared distribution reports at the end of each cycle and submitted them to the project officer.

-        Participated in case review meetings to identify risks in complex cases.

-        Coordinated with relevant sectors to ensure proper and effective project implementation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in case management or protection programming in humanitarian settings.

• Proven experience in coordinating inter-agency networks or working groups.

• Experience working with PCM cases, including persons with disabilities, elderly individuals, and survivors of abuse, is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of case management processes, including assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring.

• Expertise in building and managing networks or inter-agency collaborations.

• Familiarity with national and international protection standards, including protection guidelines.

• Fluent in Dari and Pashto. Proficiency in English is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Empathy and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable populations.

• Commitment to ARAA and protection principles, including confidentiality and respect for beneficiary dignity.
