Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The WEA Specialist/ C3b Monitor for the CRLP project role is crucial in providing regular support to Package Manager, Regional Manager/Provincial Managers in C3b related issues of the CRLP project.

The position is based in Kabul with frequent travels to Balkh, Jawzjan, Saripul, Ghor and Faryab provinces where the project is being implemented.

Duties & Responsibilities:       

  • Conduct Training of Trainers (ToTs) for Social Organizers SOs, CRGs, community and sub-groups.
  • Provide technical training in Poultry, home gardening, the jam-making process and pickling to enhance local food preservation skills.
  • To ensure the quality of technical trainings provided to women headed households in the areas of income-generating and/or production activities kitchen gardening and food processing activities (jam/pickle making, other vegetable/fruit processing,) and poultry rearing.
  • To see whether asset production packages has been transferred to targeted women headed households’ beneficiaries.
  • To confirm whether the women economic empowerment beneficiaries have practically started the utilization of asset production packages.
  • To have close coordination with CRLP’s provincial team and provide full support to field technical colleagues if needed.
  • To ensure the smooth implementation of component 3b women economic empowerment activity in field
  •  Conduct field visits according to approved plan to monitor and evaluate the field activities and support field team.
  • Report to the CRLP Package Manger, director/deputy director on a daily and weekly basis on community issues and the project’s performance in relation to those issues.
  • Acting as a focal point for the C3b on behalf of the CRLP Lo 3.
  • Collaborate with community members and CRGs leaders to ensure effective execution of women economic activities to achieve the project objectives.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in social science, Agriculture or related fields with at least 3 years’ experience in community-based programming with minimum one year of direct work experience implementing rural WEE projects in rural areas, especially poultry projects.

Specific preference for those trained in WEA under CRLP.
