JEAO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based public health interventions.  JEAO offers ground-breaking and unconventional solutions that foster self-reliance and promote sustainable health care that is accessible to all. JEAO is working in Afghanistan since 2007, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff supported technically and management wise by expatriate staff from head office.

Job Descriptions:

  • Design and update competency-based vocational training curricula tailored to labor market needs and based on the scope of the project in a way that will lead to financial independent and income generation for 1050 project beneficiary
  • Ensure training materials are aligned with national and/or donor standards.
  • Adopt policies and proactive that will create self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship skills among targeted participants by developing policies and ensuring policy and guidelines are fully implemented.
  • Facilitate or oversee technical and soft skills training sessions for trainees.
  • Conduct assessments to identify local as well as national level market opportunities for the beneficiaries’ products by assessing market, organizing local and national level exhibition.
  • Track beneficiaries’ performance and post-training employment outcomes.
  • Ensure quality of production, packing, marketing throughout the project.
  • Develop curricula and ensure beneficiaries are trained on basic skills of entrepreneurship by including topics such as marketing, packing, business registration and development in their curriculum
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Support vocational training centers in improving training quality and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and support vocational instructors.
  • Coordinate with government bodies, NGOs, private sector partners, and donors.
  • Assist in building linkages between training programs and employment opportunities.
  • Prepare progress reports, success stories, and case studies.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and results.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship and business development, Education, Vocational Training, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in entrepreneurship skills development, business development, vocational training, livelihoods, skills development, or workforce development.
  • Strong knowledge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems and approaches.
  • Experience working with youth, women, and vulnerable populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to design competency-based curricula and training modules.
  • Strong networking and partnership-building skills with the private sector and training institutions.
  • Good facilitation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of local labor market dynamics and entrepreneurship.
  • Ability to travel frequently to training sites and field locations.
